Commitment Ceremonies

These ceremonies are for couples who have made a commitment to each other and wish to formalise their union in the presence of family and friends. A commitment ceremony is a formal approach to celebrate and honour a partnership, usually of same sex couples. It has no legal requirements or conditions.

Ceremonies are entirely personal and may include readings, exchanging of rings ,rituals and symbolism. A certificate of commitment, together with a bound copy of your ceremony will be presented to you as a memento of the day.

Renewal of Vows

For a variety of reasons,  couples may decide to renew or reaffirm previously said vows. The marriage may have taken place interstate or overseas and the couple wish to share the occasion amongst those who couldn't be present. Significant wedding anniversaries are also wonderful occasions to celebrate with a reaffirmation ceremony. A certificate, together with a bound copy of your ceremony will be presented to you as a memento of the day.

Baby Naming

A baby naming ceremony, often referred to as a Name Giving Ceremony, is a celebration of a new born, welcoming the child into the community and the world. It must be understood this is not a christening or baptism. Often parents choose to have a baby naming celebration for their child and allow them to choose their religion later in life. A naming ceremony is often performed when the baby is around 3 months old, however on the child's 1st birthday, is very popular. The timing is your choice. Godparents ( often referred to as guardians or mentors) may be appointed. Such a ceremony heightens the role of the parent and strengthens the bond between family and close friends.

Certificates for parents & guardians and of course the child are issued to record the event. A bound copy of your ceremony will be presented as a memento.
