WEDDINGS

Congratulations on your impending wedding........

As your celebrant, I tailor your ceremony with care and sensitivity, to reflect your ideas, values and wishes and most importantly ensure your marriage is legally valid.   I focus on a ceremony that reflects your personality and style, providing the perfect balance of warmth, sincerity, romance and ceremonial elegance.  I invite your input, your views and preferences and design it accordingly to enhance and delight.  Ongoing advice and reassurance is provided to ensure all details are carefully adhered to.
Whether your ceremony takes place amongst a large assembly of guests, a small gathering of family and friends, or just two witnesses as required by law - it can be distinctive and significant.

 Legal Requirements:

Under The Marriage Act 1961 there are certain obligations that you as a couple intending to get married, must meet prior to a marriage ceremony being solemnised, I have listed the main obligations below:

Legal Age:

You must be over the age of 18 years, or have the appropriate permission.

Notice of intended marriage:

You need to fill out a Notice of Intended Marriage (form 13). Your celebrant MUST receive this at least one month and one day before your wedding. The completed form must be witnessed by an authorised person, one of which is your marriage celebrant. I can supply you with a Notice of Intended Marriage form and will be happy to help you complete the form at our first meeting. If possible please bring your relevant documents from the following:

If you were born in Australia you are required to produce an Original Birth Certificate, or authorised extract.       If you were born outside of Australia you are required to produce a birth certificate. However, if you do not have a birth certificate I can accept your overseas Passport.

If you were previously married you must produce a copy of the Divorce Decree Absolute or Death Certificate, whichever is applicable.  Prior to your wedding ,both partners will be required to sign a declaration, stating that you believe there is no legal impediment to the marriage between yourself and your partner.

Next step:

Just ring or email me your details. Our first meeting is absolutely obligation free.  It enables me to get to know you and understand exactly what you desire for your ceremony.  When we have spoken about everything you can take the time to decide if I am the celebrant for you. I will hold your prospective wedding date in my diary for a period of 1 week, of which if you wish to book, your (non refundable ) deposit will be required and completed Notice of Intended Marriage form , as attached below.
